April 7th thru the 13th Lineup | POV: You just found your next night out

If your group chat has been asking “where are we going this week?”… go ahead and send them this.

Because this week’s features at Barrels & Boards?

They’re the kind of dishes (and drinks) that turn a casual night into “we’re definitely staying for another round.”

Let’s get into it 👇

🔥 Start It Off Right

First up—the Tuna Poke Bowl.

This one’s all about balance. Fresh, buttery ahi tuna layered over lobster-infused jasmine rice (yes… lobster rice), with seaweed salad, roasted corn, creamy avocado, and pops of pickled onion. Then it all gets tied together with eel sauce and a little sriracha heat. It’s light, it’s flavorful, and it hits every note.

Then you’ve got the Portuguese Croquettes—and these are straight-up addictive.

Crispy on the outside, soft and savory inside, packed with linguica, peppers, onions, and finished with a rich cheese sauce. The Mozambique aioli on the side brings just enough kick to keep you going back for one more… and then another.

🥩 The Main Event (Literally)

Let’s not overcomplicate this…

The 52oz Grilled Tomahawk is an experience.

A massive bone-in ribeye, grilled to perfection, finished with seasoned steak butter that melts right into the meat. Served with whipped potatoes and asparagus, it’s bold, it’s indulgent, and it’s absolutely the move if you’re looking to go big. Share it… or don’t. We’re not here to judge.

🍛 Comfort with a Kick

The Curry Chicken brings that warm, cozy energy—but with serious flavor.

Perfectly pan-seared chicken breast, coated in a rich, aromatic curry sauce, served alongside rice pilaf and crisp haricot green beans. It’s one of those dishes that feels like comfort food—but elevated.

🐟 Seafood That Steals the Show

The Southern Scallop Risotto might quietly be the best thing on the menu this week.

Golden, pan-seared scallops sitting on top of a creamy risotto loaded with roasted corn, queso fresco, and fresh cilantro. Then comes the twist—a sweet and smoky bacon jam with grape tomatoes that brings everything together. It’s rich, layered, and honestly… hard to share.

🍸 From the Bar (Because You’re Not Skipping This)

The bar is having just as much fun as the kitchen this week.

The Passionfruit Junglebird is tropical and refreshing with a little bite—Zaya rum, Campari, passionfruit, lime, and pineapple all working together for that perfect sweet-meets-bitter balance.

Feeling adventurous? Go for the Mezcal Madness.

Watermelon-infused mezcal with tequila, ginger, pear, and lime—it’s smoky, bright, and just a little wild in the best way.

Keeping it classic?

🍺 Goose Island IPA – crisp, easy, reliable

🍷 Ruffino Chianti – smooth, versatile, and perfect with just about everything

🍻 Whalers Rise APA (Rotating Draft) – local favorite, always a good call

🍽️ So Here’s the Plan…

👉 Start with apps and cocktails at the bar

👉 Debate splitting the Tomahawk (you will)

👉 End up ordering it anyway

👉 Stay longer than you planned

That’s kind of how this week goes.
