This Week at Barrels & Boards: Chef & Bar Features (10/6)

October is here, and our kitchen and bar are leaning all the way in. This week's features run from rich, slow-braised comfort to bright, fresh, and fiery, with a 28 oz Prime Porterhouse built for two stealing the spotlight. On the bar side, fall shows up in a glass: pumpkin, cranberry, and a cider that tastes like your favorite orchard stop.
Here's what's new at Barrels & Boards, starting today, Tuesday, October 6.
From the Kitchen
Short Rib Bacon Jam Sliders
Three toasted brioche sliders, piled high with braised short rib, bourbon bacon-onion jam, melted cheddar, and crispy onions. A swipe of horseradish cream adds the bite. Roasted garlic beef jus comes on the side for dipping. Rich, a little messy, and exactly what a great gastropub slider should be. Grab extra napkins.

Crispy Pork Belly Bao-Style Tacos
Crispy pork belly tucked into warm flour tortillas, glazed in sweet chili-soy and topped with sesame-cucumber slaw, spicy garlic aioli, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds. Every bite hits crunch, sweet heat, a hit of acid, and something cool and fresh. Easy to share. Hard to want to.
Prime Porterhouse Steak Frites
28 oz Prime Porterhouse, serves two. This is the showpiece of the week. A true steakhouse centerpiece, served with crispy yuca fries, roasted garlic-herb butter, peppercorn cream, and dressed greens. Bring someone you like. Or someone you want to impress.
Miso-Sesame Seared Tuna
Sesame-crusted tuna, seared hard on the outside and left rare in the center, the way it's meant to be. It sits on jasmine rice with baby carrots, cabbage, and snow peas, finished with ginger-soy glaze, spicy garlic aioli, scallions, and toasted sesame. Fresh, colorful, and full of flavor.
Consuming raw or undercooked meats, seafood, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

From the Bar
Pumpkin Martini
Vanilla vodka and Fulton's pumpkin liqueur, shaken cold and served with a cinnamon sugar rim. Dessert-adjacent, dangerously smooth, and the most fall thing on the menu.
Cranberry Aperol Spritz
Aperol, cranberry, prosecco, and soda. Bright, bubbly, and a little tart. All the easy-drinking charm of a spritz, dressed up for the season.

Ruffino Chianti
A classic Tuscan red with cherry fruit and a savory backbone. Pour a glass alongside the Porterhouse, or order the bottle and settle in.
1911 Cider Donut Cider
A seasonal hard cider can, 6.9% ABV. Crisp apple, warm spice, and a hint of that fresh-from-the-fryer cider donut. Fall, cracked open.
Pull Up a Seat
These features are here for the week and available while they last, so don't wait on the Porterhouse. Grab a table, round up your crew, and let us take care of the rest. We'll see you at Barrels & Boards.
